Yiran Wang
Graduate Research Assistant
Yiran Wang is a graduate research assistant in the We-ID Lab and a master’s student in Industrial Design at Georgia Tech. She received her B.F.A. in Industrial Design from California College of the Arts and spent an enjoyable time working as an industrial designer in Sunnyvale, where she had the honor of receiving the iF Design Award. Yiran is an explorer in the field of user-centered design, an observer of human interactions with their surroundings, and an enthusiast for emotional well-being. Her work spans both physical and digital realms, from neuroscience headsets, consumer electronics, and origami-inspired furniture to gamified educational platforms and e-commerce experiences designed to reduce cognitive load. Driven by empathy and a systems-thinking mindset, Yiran continues to investigate how design can foster inclusive, emotionally resonant, and human-centered experiences.
