Biography Beatriz Vargas, a graduate student from Puerto Rico, is currently pursuing her M.S. in Architecture – Health and Design at the Georgia Institute of Technology. With a background in architecture, she previously served as an architectural assistant at a firm in Puerto Rico, where she contributed to both residential and small-scale healthcare projects. During her time at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Beatriz also worked as a teaching assistant, helping students develop their capstone research projects.
Throughout her academic career, Beatriz has emphasized the importance of social inclusion in both the design process and outcomes. Her work has centered on promoting well-being in remote areas, reflecting her commitment to creating equitable solutions in underserved communities. Passionate about the intersection of healthcare and architecture, she is eager to collaborate with other professionals to advance the efficient application of healthcare research and design, making a meaningful impact on the industry.
