Lauri Donang is a Graduate Assistant at the SimTigrate Design Lab and a Master’s student in Architecture. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Architecture at the University of the District of Columbia in Washington D.C. where she had the opportunity to work on complex projects while displaying excellent leadership skills, organizational qualities and a clear passion and love for the architectural field. When Lauri decided to study Architecture, it was with the intent of helping people and giving back to her community. In the process, she’s found interest in sustainability which she thinks is the only way to design moving forward; being able to design buildings that not only contribute the well being of people but also the environment overall. She is currently assisting the lab with Home Design Guidelines for the Cognitive Empowerment Program and the impact of sustainability on mental health for the Huntsman Mental Health Institute Research Building.
