Dr. Yixiao Wang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Industrial Design at Georgia Institute of Technology. As an interaction design researcher, his research focuses on human-centered design, engineering, and evaluation of “Space Agents” – physical and virtual spaces that are socially intelligent and interactive, as if our friends, partners, and companions. 

His research sits at the intersection of Human-Agent Interaction, Human-Robot Interaction, and Architectural Robotics. Application areas of his research include, but are not limited to: healthcare & wellbeing (e.g., smart home & restorative environments), education (e.g., smart library), transportation (e.g., smart vehicle interior), creativity (e.g., smart virtual spaces as design partners), and work life (e.g., smart offices).
